The Pferdeklinik Bargteheide offers you a stationary emergency service.
An experienced team of vets and veterinary nurses is available around the clock, 365 days a year, to treat your horse in an emergency in our clinic and provide intensive medical care.
If necessary, our trained and experienced team is also able to perform surgery on your horse at any time. Operations are possible under general anaesthesia as well as under local anaesthesia.
The operations that we regularly perform in the emergency service include, for example
- Surgical wound care under standing anaesthesia or general anaesthesia
- Arthroscopic irrigation of infected joints, tendon sheaths or bursae (Link Arthro)
- Fracture treatment (link osteosynthesis)
- Treatment of hoof ulcers or nail kicks
- Treatment of injuries to the eyelids
- Urinary bladder ruptures in foals
Where possible, we also try to perform all operations in the emergency service under standing anaesthesia where this is medically indicated. This makes it possible to treat most injuries using a local anaesthetic in a standing position. If a general anaesthetic is unavoidable, for example for osteosynthesis or for arthroscopic irrigation of infected joints, we can also provide the best possible and low-risk treatment in the emergency service using experienced staff and modern anaesthetic techniques. Anaesthesia guarantee.
